Well…Now I Dress a Goose

Somewhere along the way, without intention, planning, or any real understanding of how it happened, I very recently (last month) became someone who purchased and dresses a porch goose.

Her name is Gonzo Goose.

What started as a simple decorative addition to my porch has quickly evolved into something much more meaningful—a seasonal wardrobe, an unexpected (shallow) emotional support system, and a creative outlet I didn’t know I desperately needed. Turns out, life occasionally fills very specific and previously unidentified gaps in the most surprising ways. Sometimes those ways are feathered and require outfit changes.

If you’ve followed this blog for any amount of time, you know its sparse existence is built on one simple truth: life rarely goes as expected. And apparently, one of my latest plot twists involves a porch goose and an expanding collection of festive attire.

So welcome to what I’m officially calling The Gonzo Chronicles — a series documenting seasonal fashion reveals, emotional revelations, questionable purchasing decisions, and the unexpected joy of porch goose ownership.

I don’t know where this will lead, but based on current trends, it will likely involve more outfits.

And honestly, I’m at peace with that. Now, my husband…that may be another story.
