Kill ‘em With Kindness

Keep loving. Keep being kind. Don’t let the climate of the world, the narrative of the news or the attitudes of others make you jaded.

Don’t let feeling surrounded by negativity defeat you. Be motivated to find positivity in your community, in simple acts of others, in mundane occurrences, and share those examples. Let this be the light to penetrate the darkness of skepticism and hostility.

Don’t sink to the false level of miserableness others would have you believe the world is under. Keep your head up and above the waters of divisiveness, and help as many people as you can raise their heads along your journey. Neither let those who clamp on to the weight of pessimism, gained by consuming the world’s buffet of cynicism, weigh you down.

A wise(ass) woman once said, “Kill ‘em with kindness.” To me, this means be intentional in being kind. Make a conscious effort to care when it doesn’t feel natural and when it won’t be reciprocated. Let kindness be your weapon and happiness be your shield in a world that seems to be dead-set on self destruction through amplifying animosity.

Don’t wait for something or someone to bring you joy; be deliberately joyful. Be purposely kind. Be responsible for what you put out into our world.
